Black On White

I love the way this built in shelving unit stands out against the white walls. The black paint simultaneously acts as a focal point and a backdrop for the treasures within it.

Low Lights

These light fixtures are simple in form but make a statement with their repetitiveness and the height at which they are hung.

Ghost Chair

The Louis Ghost chair is a modern adaptation of the classic Louis XV chair that has taken off in popularity since its release ten years ago. The great thing about it is its versatility. The classic shape lends itself to traditional interiors, while the polycarbonate material makes it suitable for modern interiors as well. Another great attribute is its ability to be a visual space saver, being able to see through the chair tricks the eye into believing there is more open space than is actually available.

Raw Retreat

This must be the first active construction site I’ve ever had a desire to live in, and yes…it is currently being lived in! It is amazing what a beautiful juxtaposition is created between the new shiny additions and the raw existing elements.

Designer Profile - Ryan Korban

Welcome to the glamorous portfolio of New York designer Ryan Korban. His selection of rich fabrics such as silk, velvet, and cashmere combined quite often with figurative art create very romantic environments to be savored by the eye.

Room Lust

There are lots of enjoyable things about this photo. Although the sofa fabric and rug are very different, they are tied together by their geometric nature in addition to the pink pillows that have been selected from the color of the rug. I also love the mismatching frames on the back wall and the coffee table stocked with books.

History and Mystery

I love the abundance of color, pattern, and texture in this Moroccan inspired abode. Many traditional Moroccan pieces have been repainted and reupholstered to give them a slight feeling of something new while retaining their fundamental style. There is also something incredibly enchanting about the place. From the overgrown pool area to the tree growing through the ceiling of the kitchen, every ounce feels shrouded in history and mystery.

Tree Retreat

Who ever said that tree houses had a kid’s only clause? I wouldn’t mind getting away in this backyard retreat any day of the week.
