Joel McHale's Hollywood Hills Home

Joel McHale' and his wife found their current home much too traditional for their tastes. They began by replacing skimpy 2 inch molding with oversize crown molding, adding wood floors, and refaced the ho-hum brick fireplace with a much more glamorous white Carrara marble tile. The result is a home that is formal yet livable with every room making a strong statement with bold wall paper used in almost every room including the ceiling as you see in the photo directly below. Wall paper seen can be found at Robert CrowderWalnut, Osborne & Little & Astek.
"Wow" wall paper patterns can anchor walls all by themselves often times in place of art.
Reupholstered high back chairs and a vintage ceramic lamp add texture to the family room. On the wall; a wooden deer head from Roost and two vintage prints of Rome.
McHale reveals a secret door in a wall of built ins; behind it is a storage space for DVDs.
A basement office.
Vintage Russian Posters hang above a herringbone sofa in their office.
Blue wall paper by Robert Crowder with a four-poster chrome bed, and flanked by capiz-shell globes.
