A truly one of a kind boutique hotel recently opened its doors in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. Le Pavillon contains only 26 rooms, one for each letter of the alphabet. Each lettered room also corresponds to an author sharing the same initial, for example the “W” room is dedicated to Woolf. The décor of each room pays homage to the writer including their famous quotes stenciled on the walls and etched in the glass, as well as volumes of the writer’s work available on the nightstands. Creative mastermind behind the project, Didier Benderli, stuck to a palette of beiges, coppers, and mauves, offering a revitalizing departure from some of Paris’ more overstated hotels.
